A bit about me

About Cat – Spinal Tides

Hello, I’m Cat, the practitioner behind Spinal Tides. I’m based just outside Dartmouth in South Devon, and I’ve been working as a bodyworker and wellbeing practitioner for over 15 years, supporting both physical recovery and deeper nervous system healing.

My work is centred on helping clients find relief from pain, release tension, and restore balance within the body. I take a holistic, client-led approach, recognising that many physical symptoms are closely connected to the state of the nervous system.

For much of my career, I worked full-time as an Equine Craniosacral Therapist, travelling across the UK and treating a wide range of horses—from elite athletes to those recovering from trauma. This experience profoundly shaped my understanding of the body, particularly how stress and tension are stored and expressed physically.

As my practice evolved, I expanded into working with people. I completed professional training as a Human Remedial Massage Therapist through the School of Bodywork, gained my Level 3 qualification in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, and graduated with distinction.

Through working with both horses and people, I began to notice that the most profound and lasting changes often came through a gentler approach. This led me to explore modalities that better supported my intuitive way of working, and I went on to train in the Spinal Flow® Technique with its founder, Dr Carli Axford, at an immersive programme in Barcelona.

Spinal Flow is now at the heart of my practice. It is a gentle yet powerful modality that works with the spine and nervous system to release stored stress, improve communication within the body, and support natural healing processes.

By combining hands-on bodywork with a nervous system-focused approach, I support clients experiencing chronic pain, tension, stress, and burnout—helping them move towards greater ease, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

I offer a calm, supportive space where your body can unwind, regulate, and heal at its own pace.

You are warmly welcome in the clinic.
